When The Bands PlayedCD Fundraiser Project

The Sons of Confederate Veterans are currently working to erect the first statue of a Confederate General in the state of North Carolina. The statue will be a live size model of General Joseph E. Johnson and it is to be placed at Bentonville Battlefield outside of Newton Grove, NC. The project was originally started by members of the Smithfield SCV camp. A call was sent out to all camps to assist in this historic project.

Camp 2152 is doing it's part. Recently, Barney Rogers and Russell Johnson released a new Civil War themed album of original bluegrass and traditional style music called "When the Bands Played." The album has been given tremendous feedback from all who have heard it. Barney Rogers and Russell Johnson, now members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, have teamed with camp 2152 to offer this incredible deal. Anyone who donates $15.00 to the Joseph E. Johnson Monument will get this amazing album as a free gift.

Help us raise this statue to honor a deserving General and get a great CD for your donation.
